Welcome to KNITTING School!
Contemporary Civilization is on its Deathbed. New Age Anarchy and Chaos rule.
God will fix the mess; we can't. But what we can do is care for ourselves.
So let's get back to the basics : Covering Ourselves & Our Families
We may have to RECLAIM WOOL from old garments. We may have to use mixed fibres. We may have to spin before we can knit soft garments or crochet (knotted) sturdy outer garments. Those skills are left to other units of study.
I have gone back over this entire booklet, page-by-page, and made it LEGIBLE by increasing the contrast a great deal. This was fun to do. You now have two BOOK sizes, two choices. Book 1 is 84 pages; and Book 2 is the same 84 pages, but on 42 pieces of paper. Smaller, at no extra charge.
Here are the items you can make by following the directions in this booklet. And they are gorgeous examples of beauty and skill, all in one booklet nearly a hundred years old. [The original booklet, tattered and torn, cost me $5 at eBay; and I have spent more hours than I want to admit, restoring this copy.]

NOTICE! One [typical] size fits all. So, you better know HOW TO ALTER FOR LARGER AND SMALLER. Women KNEW in the 1920's exactly how to do this; that was "normal"; so that's what we've got to deal with. Join a knitting group.
Let's move on to the next problem. Can you just print out the pattern you want?
Probably NOT. Print out the whole thing because, in order to place the pictures right next to and in front of the section to which they apply, the page numbers got changed. And due to the fact I moved the pictures, there are now extra numbers and missing pages. BUT--the whole thing is here; all the pages, all the pictures, all the instructions. Each section has its picture of projects right up front where it belongs; so once you find the picture you like, look to the right of it for your instructions. FYI, the following page numbers are missing: 11, 31, 37, 51, 63, 80. The following pages are extra: 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90.
HOW TO PRINT OUT THIS BOOKLET
Below are three columns of links, one column for the 42-pager and two columns for the 84-pager.
Open up each page by clicking on the link, and then File Print Page, either 42 times or 84 times. Whatever you want. The little one or the big (easier to read) one.
The eighty-page version is "portrait" orientation; the forty-page version is "landscape" orientation. I have left half an inch margin all around. Only the illustration pages are in color; that is, none of them.
To get the best copy fit, use a photo program, download each file, and then bring up each one and check to see that the margins are correct, the legibility is good, before you hit the print button; and I believe you will get the maximum bang for your printer dollar.
I always appreciate hearing from my visitors how well the coding works, which makes this information available to you. Please write and let me know. I'm at emicra8@aol.com
